BODY&SOUL jazz bar

The comings and goings of control and freedom

Intro, theme, solo. While there is a common melody, the real appeal of Jazz is that the players compose and play different versions of the melody one after another on the spot, depending on their personalities and sessions with the other members. This coming and going of control and freedom is expressed by freely rearranging and reconstructing the white and black keys of the piano in a sensual and free manner, while still retaining a sense of the original form.

統制と自由の往来

イントロ、テーマ、ソロ。共通のメロディはありつつも、演奏者の個性やメンバーとのセッションにより、メロディーの別バージョンを奏者がその日その場で、次々に作曲して弾いていくのがJAZZの醍醐味。その、統制と自由の往来を、ピアノの白鍵と黒鍵を、原型を感じさせつつも、感覚で自由に並び替え再構築することで表現しました。
