Protect about 10 liters of water in one box

INAHO is an interior light inspired by golden ears of rice that sway slowly in the wind. The 3mm-diameter stem is made of carbon fiber, and at the tip is a golden tube with mesh-like holes that covers an LED, from which dots of light reminiscent of rice firs leak out. The base is embedded with a motion sensor, and when a person passes by an INAHO, it begins to sway slowly in the direction of the person walking by. By extracting the characteristics of an ear of rice and expressing them with minimalistic elements, we aimed to create a product that combines novelty with the familiarity of its natural origin.

人の動きに呼応して揺れ輝く稲穂

INAHOは、風にゆっくりと揺れる金色の稲穂にインスパイアされた、インテリアライト。直径3mmの茎はカーボンファイバーで出来ており、先端にはLEDとそれを覆うメッシュ状に穴の空いた金色の筒が取り付けられ、そこから稲のモミを思い起こさせるドット状の光がもれ出す。また、土台には人感センサが埋め込まれており、人がINAHOのそばを通ると、そちらの方向にゆっくりと揺れ始める。INAHOを数十本単位で並べれば、歩く人を追いかけ棚引くように動き、通路やエントランスなどを魅力的に演出することが可能。稲穂の特徴を抜き出しミニマルな要素で表現することによって、新規性と自然由来の親しみやすさが共存するプロダクトを目指した。
