Bringing new relations for the world
JTB, Japan's largest travel company, has been crafting new values for over 100 years by bridging history, culture, and people worldwide. In order to gain the power to tackle complicated issues that today's society faces and pave the way for the future, JTB has launched a groundbreaking project called "nextender", aiming to foster innovators and transform the company into a dynamic innovative powerhouse. We portrayed JTB employees as architects of connections (nex) and pioneers venturing into new territories (next/extend), giving rise to the distinctive figure known as the "nextender”. In our visual representation, these figures interconnect vibrant spheres symbolizing the seeds of innovation, expanding the confines of JTB's current business fields depicted by grey squares.
世界に、あたらしい関係を。
歴史や文化。価値観や思想。ヒトやモノ。100年以上にわたり、あらゆるものをつなげて新しい価値を生みだしてきた日本最大の旅行会社JTB。現代社会が直面する複雑な課題を解決し、未来に希望をもたらすため、前例のないイノベーションを創発するプロジェクトを発足。社員ひとりひとりを「つながり(nex)を生みだし、新しい領域(next)へ拡張(extend)していく人」と再定義し、プロジェクトをnextenderと名付けた。日々世界に生まれるさまざまな価値や社会の多様なステークホルダーをイノベーションのカケラと捉え、カラフルな球体で表現。そして、それらをつなぎ、イノベーションを創発する存在であるnextenderを、人のカタチを模した線で表した。また、グレーの四角はJTBが現在取り組んでいる事業領域を表しており、nextenderによるイノベーションによってその枠を拡張していくことを、複数のデザインパターンで表現した。
